In Latin America, 40% of CO2 emissions come from the built environment.

A few years ago, while working as an architect in Panama, I saw firsthand how organizations committed to protecting the planet ended up operating buildings that contradicted their own cause. It wasn't a lack of will; the real problem was the absence of a clear methodology to quantify costs, consumption, and footprint from the very first sketch.

That frustration led me to found Garúa, a studio that integrates passive design, performance simulations, and green certifications so that every construction decision is consistent with our clients' environmental mission.
