Shelter in the Rainforest featured in Arquitectura Viva

At Garúa, we are pleased to share that our project, the Tropical Forest Refuge, has been featured in Arquitectura Viva, one of the most respected platforms in the field of architecture and design.

Conceived as a meeting place in the heart of nature, the refuge integrates seamlessly into its tropical environment and fulfills a clear purpose: creating positive social impact through architecture.

The design is defined by a central gesture: a broad roof that provides protection from sun and rain, generating an intermediate space that connects indoors and outdoors while offering comfort in a tropical climate. The structure makes use of local materials and passive climate strategies, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and to projects that bring value both to people and to their environment.

Being featured in Arquitectura Viva is a recognition of the entire team’s effort and another step forward in our mission to transform the built environment in Latin America through innovation and a balanced approach to people, planet, and economy.
